The City Where I Live Utuado
By Dr. Emid Núñez Conde
- The town where I live is called Utuado, a beautiful town in west central Puerto Rico my homeland. In the center of the city is the Plaza de Recreo, common space for people to socialize and recreate. So I saw the place in the 50s, we can see the simplicity of the construction, a platform with a triangle of roads based gardening and lawn planted.A difference of 60 years between 1 and 2 pictures photoHere the same angle uploaded on July 18, 2010 in Panoramio, consider the most sophisticated of the building with a few walls to limit where antres of grass. Currently the most elaborate and exotic plants. Also another point of reference is the mayor's house, known as the council house. In Puerto Rico there are 78 villages and each village has a government center that is home to City Hall. These structures were made centuries ago, on November 11, 1734, Spanish Governor Matthias Abbey granted the license to start the foundation of Utuado. The facade of the house has not changed much mayoralty from its origins here can see it.And in fact the town has not changed much in many aspects and immigration issues of youth is continuous because they say nothing happens here.A difference of 60 years between 3 and 4 pictures photoWell until next time, My Friends.
